Project Community Map!
The data used to create this map was gathered from January 2026-April
2026. This map shows the organizations and services around the North East Wisconsin Region
which support immigrants and refugees as they resettle in the area.
Each sector shows what is available and reflects the perspectives of
Newcomers as well as organizations.
A "Newcomer" is a person or family who has moved to the region or
the United States in the past 5-10 years and is learning and adjusting
to the main languages and cultures of our region.

Housing responses highlighted both existing stability and ongoing affordability challenges.
About 17% of responses (6 of 36) reflected housing stability, with respondents reporting that they have a place to live, an apartment, or stable housing.
Housing Affordability
The most common concern was housing affordability, representing 50% of responses (18 of 36), including high rents, difficulty paying rent, housing costs that exceed income, and a need for more affordable housing options.
Homeownership and Housing Quality
Homeownership was another recurring theme, accounting for 14% of responses (5 of 36), with participants expressing interest in buying a home or making mortgage payments more manageable.
Respondents also emphasized the importance of safe neighborhoods, larger living spaces, good schools, and better living conditions.
